TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – IU Columbus Cross Country took on a challenging course last night under a stunning sunset, at the Nike XC Town Twilight Meet in Terre Haute, delivering impressive individual performances despite tough competition.

The men's team finished 7th out of 8 teams with 144 points, highlighted by strong personal efforts:

• Luke Neibert crossed the line in 28:21, setting a new personal record and securing 30th place.

• Jackson Neibert finished 36th in 28:37, followed by Emiliano Rosales-Lopez in 66th (29:49).

• Bryaun Manuel ran 31:27, Chance Knapp posted a personal best of 32:49, and Joey Martinez finished 104th in 38:36.

On the women's side, the team also finished 7th out of 8 teams with 185 points, led by standout performances:

• Phoebe Dowty broke the school record with a time of 24:16, finishing 13th overall.

• Erin Jones achieved a personal best in 37th place (26:22), while Tori Gauck also set a PR in 60th (30:25).

• Grace Barkes and Alexandria Saavedra crossed the line in 71st (37:01) and 72nd (37:26, PR), respectively.

Despite the challenging conditions, multiple athletes recorded personal bests and school records, showing promising growth and resilience for the Crimson Pride programs.

IU Columbus looks forward to building on these strong performances and continuing to push for personal and team growth in the season ahead.

Next Up: The IU Columbus Cross Country teams will return to action next Saturday (Oct. 11) as they host the Crimson Pride Open, a 5K at Cera Sports Park. The race is open to the public, and runners can sign up here. The race is set to start at 12:00 PM.
