IU Columbus is proud to recognize Sadie Egan and Damontae Thompson as this week's Crimson Pride Student-Athletes of the Week for their outstanding performances in volleyball and men's basketball.
Sadie Egan was a force for IU Columbus volleyball team in two competitive volleyball match-ups this week. In a thrilling five-set win over Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Egan demonstrated her versatility and endurance, recording 18 kills, 18 digs, and 17 assists, while hitting .271. She kept her momentum going against IU Kokomo on Saturday, contributing 13 kills, 4 blocks, 1 service ace, and 21 assists. Her all-around play on both offense and defense was key to the team's success and highlighted her leadership on the court.
Damantae Thompson impressed with back-to-back standout performances for IU Columbus men's basketball. On November 7th, in a match-up against Holy Cross College, Thompson led the team with 19 points while logging 42 minutes of action, showcasing his stamina and scoring ability. He followed that up on November 8th against IU Northwest, adding 15 points and 34 minutes of play. Thompson's consistent contributions on both ends of the court continue to be a driving force for the Crimson Pride.
