Bippus, Campbell, and Merritt Earn RSC Honors

11/9/2025 5:03:00 PM

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Two members of the IU Columbus women's soccer team have been recognized among the best in the River States Conference, as freshman Zoe Bippus earned 2nd Team All-RSC honors, junior Lily Campbell was named to 3rd Team All-RSC, and junior Madison Merritt was selected to the Champions of Character Team, the league announced this week.

Bippus, the Crimson Pride's standout goalkeeper, was a force in net all season long. She ranked second in the conference in total saves (107) and third in save percentage (.829), while finishing fifth in goals against (22). Starting 12 matches and logging over 1,100 minutes, Bippus anchored the IU Columbus defense with consistent poise and command, recording five shutouts and making at least five saves in 10 different matches.

Campbell, a dynamic attacking midfielder, was on full display in her junior campaign, totaling eight goals and five assists for 21 points —the highest mark on the team. She appeared in 17 matches, starting 16, and was a constant offensive threat with 51 total shots and a .608 shots-on-goal percentage. Campbell's ability to create scoring chances and convert in key moments made her one of the most impactful players in the Crimson Pride attack.

Merritt, a steady presence in the midfield, earned Champions of Character honors for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to representing IU Columbus on and off the field. She appeared in 17 matches, starting 16, and tallied three assists while helping guide the team through its most successful season yet.

The Champions of Character program recognizes student-athletes who embody the NAIA's five core values—integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.  The initiative promotes character development among students, coaches, and parents, emphasizing the importance of doing the right thing both in competition and in everyday life.

Behind the strong play and leadership of Bippus, Campbell, and Merritt, IU Columbus finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 5-10-2 and a 3-7 in conference play—both standing as program bests for the young Crimson Pride program.

These honors mark another step forward for IU Columbus as the Crimson Pride continue to build a foundation of excellence, performance, and character within the River States Conference.
