COLUMBUS, Ind. – The IU Columbus Volleyball program has officially announced its 2025 season schedule, the Crimson Pride Athletic Department revealed on Thursday.
Coming off a season marked by adversity and limited depth, the Crimson Pride enter the 2025 campaign with renewed energy, an expanded roster, and a drive to establish a new standard of play under Head Coach Jose Olivo.
The season opens at home on August 27 against Marian University (Ind.) in Indianapolis at the Physical Education Center Gymnasium. Throughout September and October, IU Columbus will host a strong mix of conference and non-conference opponents, including Ohio Christian, IU Kokomo, and Oakland City, before closing the regular season with a two-match home weekend against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and IU Kokomo on November 7 and 8.
With increased depth and physical preparation led by Strength & Conditioning Coach Granson, the Crimson Pride have been training with a renewed sense of purpose. "We faced big challenges last season—limited numbers and injuries—but that sparked a major push in recruiting and culture-building," said Head Coach Jose Olivo. "Now, with a deeper roster and a stronger team dynamic, we're locked in."
Assistant Athletic Director Matthew McCarroll emphasized the department's broader commitment to creating a high-performance environment.
"We've made major strides this offseason in our internal operations—facilities, nutrition, training," McCarroll said. "These upgrades, paired with the buy-in from our student-athletes, have the entire department moving forward together."
All home matches will be played at Cera Sports Park, with two featured games at Circle K Fieldhouse at NexusPark. Most weeknight matches begin at 7:00 p.m., while Saturday contests are scheduled for midday.
