Box Score The IU Columbus men's soccer team ran into a tough opponent as Harris-Stowe State came into Nexus Park on Wednesday night. The visitors from St. Louis had an international flavor with players from 13 different countries on their roster, but their depth was a big factor, and they certainly played together as a team. 

The Hornets got on the board at the 23:35 mark, as Miller Arm scored on a well-executed corner kick from Antonio Bilancieri. The Crimson Pride had an opportunity to tie the score on a corner kick from Trent Schenk at the 33:14 mark, but a header by Marckenson Paul went just over the crossbar. The first half ended with the visitors leading 1-0.

The Hornets struck quickly in the second half on an unassisted goal by Adefolarin Adigun at 46:53. Adigun, who did not play in the first half, scored again off a corner kick by Leonardo El Ayache at the 55:07 mark for a 3-0 lead. The rest of the game was very physical, and Harris-Stowe controlled most of the action.

Coach Kevin Nolan: "We started great in the first half, and I think if we would have converted one of our chances early in the game it could have made a big difference. Harris-Stowe is a really good team and it showed in the second half."
