Box Score The IU Columbus volleyball team faced another tough challenge Friday night, falling to IU Southeast in straight sets. 

From the outset, IU Southeast established control of the match. In the first set, IU Columbus showed fight but ultimately fell short, managing 22 points while hitting a modest .194. The team's attack was met with strong resistance from IU Southeast, who recorded 13 kills against just 3 errors.

The second set saw IU Columbus struggle to maintain momentum. Their hitting percentage dropped significantly, unable to penetrate IU Southeast's defense effectively. Despite efforts to rally, they couldn't find their rhythm, resulting in a 25-16 defeat.
 

As the third set unfolded, IU Columbus showed signs of life but couldn't sustain a comeback. They improved their hitting to, but Indiana Southeast's offense proved too much to handle. The set ended in a 25-20 loss, sealing the match for the home team.

Notable performances for IU Columbus included Sadie Egan's team-high 9 kills and 5 digs, showcasing her all-around play. Cora Baker contributed 8 kills and 4 digs, while Maddie Hunter added 6 kills and 5 digs. However, the lack of consistent offensive support from the rest of the roster, combined with IU Southeast's efficient play, proved to be too much to overcome.

Defensively, IU Columbus fought hard, slightly out-digging their opponents 39 to 36, with Leah Thompson leading the way with 15 digs. However, they were outblocked 8 to 6, which contributed to their offensive struggles.
