The bats came alive early and often for Indiana Wesleyan (IN) as they crushed IUPUC 21-1 in five innings to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Indiana Wesleyan jumped all over IUPUC starter Henry in the first inning, scoring 6 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks. Key blows included RBI singles by Yeater and Harvey, and a sacrifice fly by Tragesser.

The offensive onslaught continued with 8 more runs in the second. Buck and Harvey each had RBI doubles, while Bilger crushed a two-run homer in the frame.

After adding a run in the third on an RBI groundout by Thomas, Indiana Wesleyan broke it open with a 6-run fourth. Poe delivered a huge bases-clearing triple to cap the scoring burst.

While the bats were red-hot, Indiana Wesleyan also got a strong pitching performance. Wagner earned the win, allowing no runs on just 2 hits over 3 innings of work. Waddell was also effective in relief, giving up just 1 run over 2 frames.

Offensively for Indiana Wesleyan, multiple players had huge days. Yeater went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Poe drove in 3 runs on a triple and single. Bilger homered and drove in 2, while Buck and Harvey each had 2 RBIs and scored multiple times.

IUPUC's lone run came in the 5th when Johnson singled to score Heafner. Stieneker also had 2 hits for IUPUC in the loss.

With the lopsided victory, Indiana Wesleyan improved to 3-0 on the year while handing IUPUC their third straight defeat to begin the season.
