Box Score The IU Columbus Crimson Pride, took the field against Taylor University on Saturday, September 14th. Suffering a 2-1 loss, the Crimson Pride now fall to 2-3-1 on the season.
The first half proved difficult after Taylor's Elias Munoz found the back of our net just four minutes into the game. Which later doubled when Matt Yoder, assisted by Justin Devlin netted Taylor's second goal on the game and half at the 21-minute mark.
A spark came later in the 31st minute when
Bryce Dolenc seized on a moment of confusion in Taylor's defense and smashed home a goal that helped electrified his team and crowd just before the break.
The second half was a battle of wills. IU Columbus' midfielder, Sauolo Luna, launched attack after attack. Luna's four shots, three on target, kept Taylor's goalkeeper Sam Spiegel on his toes.
Christian Cardoso and
Jon Michael Bright pushed forward relentlessly, looking for the equalizer but ultimately, it was out of reach.

The match intensified as both teams fought hard for control. IU Columbus dominated the shot count, 17 to Taylor's 16, but couldn't find that elusive second goal.
