IU Columbus Falls to Indiana South Bend in Hard-Fought Match
The Crimson Pride of IU Columbus faced a tough challenge against Indiana South Bend on September 7, 2024, resulting in a 3-0 defeat. The loss dropped IU Columbus' record to 2-1-0 for the season. The action began early when Indiana South Bend's Aryanna Allen found the back of the net at the 12:36 mark, assisted by Ava Gutyan. Indiana South Bend continued to press their advantage, with Haylie Rodriguez doubling their lead at 32:00, closing out the first half with a 2-0 score.

IU Columbus fought hard to turn the tide in the second half, but struggled to create scoring opportunities. Despite their efforts, Indiana South Bend's Erica Thackery sealed the victory with a goal at 79:39, bringing the final score to 3-0.

Goalkeeper Mallory Gilley played a heroic role for IU Columbus, making an impressive 12 saves throughout the match, including 7 crucial stops in the first half alone.
