COLUMBUS, Ind. – IU Columbus freshman goalkeeper Zoe Bippus turned in a pair of outstanding outings to earn River States Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors — her second time this season receiving the award.
Bippus anchored the Crimson Pride defense with 13 total saves and a .929 save percentage over two matches. She recorded eight saves in a 2-1 win over Saint Mary-Woods and followed it up with a five-save shutout at Midway University to secure a perfect 2-0 weekend for IU Columbus.
Her leadership and composure in goal have been crucial to the Crimson Pride's late-season surge as they push toward postseason play.
IU Columbus will close out the regular season this week and are looking to go out on a high note.
Next Up: vs. RV Oakland City University at 4:30 PM on Thursday, October 30th at BCSC Soccer Complex.
