Box Score COLUMBUS, Ind. — The IU Columbus women's basketball team earned its first on-court win of the 2025-26 season on Monday evening, defeating Alice Lloyd College (KY) 96-85 at Circle K Fieldhouse at NexusPark. The victory also marked the highest single-game scoring output in program history, as the Crimson Pride put together a balanced and aggressive offensive performance across all four quarters.
IU Columbus led 19–17 after the first quarter and went into halftime up by 2 (39–37) before pulling away in the second half. A strong third quarter, highlighted by consistent trips to the free-throw line and defensive pressure, gave the Crimson Pride a lead they would not relinquish.
Abby Fleetwood delivered a historic night, scoring a new career-high 27 points while setting a new program record with 18 free throws attempted and 17 made. Fleetwood also contributed across the stat sheet with 13 rebounds, five assists, and seven steals, anchoring both ends of the floor.
Amaya Collins matched her career-high with 26 points, shooting 4-for-6 from three-point range while adding six rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Collins and Fleetwood combined for 53 points, consistently attacking the rim and capitalizing at the foul line.
IU Columbus shot 81.4% from the free-throw line (35-for-43) and outscored Alice Lloyd 57–48 in the second half. Emma Beave added 12 points and four rebounds, while Hadassah contributed nine points off the bench. The Crimson Pride finished with 13 steals and forced 17 turnovers, using defensive pressure to fuel their offensive momentum.
Next Up: The team shifts it's focus to their next match-up, in route of a four-game week. The team returns to action on Wednesday (Dec. 17), traveling to sister school, IU Indy, for an exhibition match-up. Tip-off is set for 6:30 PM, with the game airing on ESPN+.
