Box Score IU Columbus Women's Basketball couldn't keep up with West Virginia University Institute of Technology, 72-58, on Saturday at Circle K Fieldhouse at NexusPark. The Crimson Pride shot just 30% from the field for the game.
Leading 23-13 at the end of the 1st quarter, West Virginia University Institute of Technology went on a 16-8 run to pull further away, with the halftime score 41-25. The Golden Bears upped the lead to 60-37 at the end of the 3rd quarter. IUC outscored the visitors 21-12 in the 4th quarter.
Freshman
Hadassah Hurt led the way for the Crimson Pride with 22 points, including 4-8 on 3 pointers. She also grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Abby Fleetwood was the only other player in double figures with 18.
