COLUMBUS, Ind. — IU Columbus Athletics is proud to announce the addition of T.J. Ervin to its coaching staff, bringing a strong background in player development and collegiate basketball experience across multiple levels.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Ervin arrives at IU Columbus following a season at the NCAA Division III level with Illinois College. During his time there, he helped guide the program to its fifth consecutive Midwest Conference Tournament appearance. Ervin also played a key role in developing talent, coaching an All-Midwest Conference First Team selection who has since signed to continue his career at the NCAA Division II level.

Prior to Illinois College, Ervin spent two years as a graduate assistant at the University of South Florida. While with the Bulls, he was part of a historic run that included winning the program's first American Athletic Conference regular season championship and setting a school record for most wins in a single season. During his tenure, Ervin contributed to the development of multiple All-Conference players, several of whom went on to sign with high-major programs.

Ervin earned his bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Missouri and completed his master's degree in Mass Communications at the University of South Florida.

IU Columbus Athletics is excited to welcome Ervin to the Crimson Pride and looks forward to the impact he will make on student-athletes both on and off the court.
