Box Score The IU Columbus men's soccer team traveled to Indianapolis to face a tough Marian University team on Saturday. The home team jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead and looked to be cruising to an easy win. Maruwe Exauce nailed a penalty kick goal to cut the lead in half at the 14:47 mark. The Knights took control from there, adding three more goals in the first half for a 5-1 lead. The Crimson Pride played even with Marian in the second half, and the final score remained 5-1.

Coach Kevin Nolan: "We came out of the blocks slow, and before we knew it we were down 2-0. We started to get a little more comfortable as the game went on. A couple mistakes which lead to goals really broke our spirit before the 1st half ended after we converted our PK. However, we did not concede in the second half, and the boys played well the last 45 minutes. Marian is a top program in the country, so it was a great opportunity to see how we stacked up against one of the best. We will learn from our mistakes and move onto our next match."
