Crimson Pride Sweep Boyce with Dominant Offensive Showing

COLUMBUS, Ind. – IU Columbus volleyball put on an offensive clinic Tuesday afternoon, sweeping Boyce College 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-8) at Cera Sports Park. The Crimson Pride controlled every facet of the match, improving to 11-4 overall and 2-1 in River States Conference play.

IU Columbus swung a scorching .516 as a team, recording 40 kills against just seven errors. The Pride opened the match with a near-perfect first set, hitting .619 and cruising to a 25-11 win before keeping their foot on the gas in the final two frames.

Junior Cora Baker led a balanced attack with 8 kills on a .462 hitting percentage, adding 7 digs and 2 aces for a team-high 11 points. Journee Brown followed closely with 7 kills on .600 hitting, while Abigail Watson (6 kills, .400) and Sadie Egan (5 kills, 10 assists, 1 ace) chipped in key contributions.

Setter Bailey Stevens directed the offense to near perfection, dishing out 21 assists and adding 5 digs and an ace. IU Columbus also dominated from the service line, delivering 9 aces—including 2 each from Baker, Mikaela Salinas, and Adelynn Anderson.

The Crimson Pride defense was equally sharp, holding the Bulldogs to a -.043 hitting percentage and just 14 kills across three sets. The Bulldogs struggled to find any rhythm, committing 17 attack errors and being limited to single digits in the final frame.

Next Up: IU Columbus returns to action this weekend, continuing conference play, as they travel to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College on Friday (Sept. 26) and IU Kokomo on Saturday (Sept. 27). Friday's match is set to start at 7:00 PM and Saturday's match is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM
