The IU Columbus women's soccer team opened the season with a 3-0 win over Ohio Christian at Nexus Park. Lily Campbell, a senior from Salem, Indiana, scored the first goal of the season at the 13:52 mark in  the first half. The Crimson Pride kept up the offensive pressure throughout and dominated in all facets of the game, with 17 shots on goal and allowing the Trailblazers zero shots on goal. 

Madesyn Sunderhaus, a sophomore from Brookville, Indiana, scored at the 49:23 mark to up the lead to 2-0. Madalynn Phillips, a sophomore from Aurora, Indiana, finished the scoring with five minutes remaining to make the final score 3-0.

Coach Kevin Nolan: " I am very excited to start our 2026 campaign off with a home win. We were able to dominate the match from start to finish. It was a big kudos to the girls for coming out and getting after it from the first whistle. This game was a great preview of the talent we have on our squad this year. A clean sheet at home always is a cherry on top for any coach."
