Kevin Nolan

Kevin Nolan is an experienced soccer coach and player development leader originally from Freehold, New Jersey, and Simpsonville, South Carolina. A former Division I athlete, Kevin played at Gardner-Webb University, where he helped lead the Runnin’ Bulldogs to a Big South Tournament Final before earning his degree in Communications and Public Relations in 2013.

Kevin began his coaching career at just 24 years old as head coach at Spartanburg Methodist College. Over two seasons, he guided the program to a 28-10-1 record and helped more than 50 players transfer to four-year universities—several of whom went on to play professionally. He continued building his résumé with successful assistant coaching roles at Iowa Lakes Community College and Radford University, where he played a key role in national rankings, player development, and postseason appearances.

In 2023, Kevin became the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at IU Columbus, leading the program to its first-ever postseason appearance in its inaugural varsity season. He was promoted to Director of Soccer in 2024, now overseeing both the Men’s and Women’s programs. Under his leadership, both teams have earned All-Conference honors and continue to grow competitively.

Kevin and his wife, Dr. Trisha Sterringer, live in Columbus and welcomed their first child, Kevin Jr., in December 2025.

Kevin is a firm believer in the power of sport to transform lives and continues to mentor players long after they leave his program. He remains connected with many former student-athletes, celebrating their continued growth and accomplishments.
