Tim Lappin is a skilled and passionate Certified Athletic Trainer whose career in sports medicine spans over a decade across both high school and collegiate settings. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Tim earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of North Florida in 2013. As an Athletic Training student, he gained valuable hands-on experience working with Jacksonville University, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Jacksonville Axemen Rugby League.
Tim continued his education at Indiana University Bloomington, where he earned a Post-Professional Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Athletic Training in 2015. While at IU, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, supporting Bloomington South High School Volleyball, IU Wrestling, and IU Men’s Tennis—further developing his skills in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athlete performance.
Following graduate school, Tim took on leadership roles in secondary school athletics, serving four years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Monrovia High School in Monrovia, Indiana, followed by another four years at Indian Creek High School in Trafalgar, Indiana. In these roles, he provided comprehensive care to student-athletes and helped establish key sports medicine protocols and emergency action plans.
In 2023, Tim joined IU Columbus Athletics, entering his first year with the Crimson Pride. He brings with him a wealth of experience, a collaborative mindset, and a strong commitment to the health, safety, and success of every student-athlete.
