Kathy Cox is a dedicated and experienced volleyball coach from Columbus, Indiana, whose coaching career spans over two decades at both the school and club levels. Known for her steady leadership and commitment to athlete development, Kathy joined the IU Columbus Women’s Volleyball program as an assistant coach in 2023.

Kathy’s coaching journey began at Northside Middle School, where she served as the head coach for the 8th grade volleyball team for four years. She then moved on to Columbus North High School, leading the freshman volleyball program for ten years before spending two seasons as the junior varsity coach. In addition to her school coaching roles, Kathy has been a fixture in the local club volleyball scene, coaching for Columbus North Club Volleyball for a decade and later with Havoc Volleyball Club for two seasons.

Her extensive experience working with student-athletes across various age groups has made her a valuable mentor, teacher, and role model on and off the court. Kathy brings to IU Columbus a deep understanding of the game, a passion for helping players grow, and strong roots in the local volleyball community.

Kathy has coached volleyball at nearly every level in the Columbus area and remains a proud supporter of youth sports and player development in her hometown.
