Gavin Lash is a versatile infielder and right-handed pitcher for IU Columbus, bringing size, athleticism, and a strong baseball background to the program. The 6-foot-2 native of Muncie, Indiana is a graduate of Wapahani High School and previously attended Purdue University Northwest.

Lash was a four-year baseball standout in high school, earning three All-County selections (2021–2023), three All-Conference honors (2021–2023), and two All-State recognitions — at third base in 2021 and shortstop in 2022. His consistent performance and defensive versatility made him one of the top players in his area during his prep career.

He competed with the Canes Baseball organization in summer ball, gaining experience against elite competition and further refining his game on both sides of the ball.

Lash graduated with an Academic Honors Diploma, reflecting his commitment in the classroom. The son of Tim and Jenny Lash, he credits Brian Dudley as a key mentor in his development. He is majoring in Finance and plans to pursue opportunities in the business and financial sector while continuing his collegiate baseball career.
