Trey VanMeter is a sophomore utility player for IU Columbus, providing versatility and athleticism across multiple positions. The 6-foot native of Jasper, Indiana is a graduate of Southridge High School and previously attended Danville Area Community College.

VanMeter was a two-sport athlete in high school, competing in both baseball and basketball, which helped shape his competitive edge and adaptability on the field. He gained additional experience in summer competition with the Rawlings Tigers, facing strong competition and continuing to develop his all-around game.

The son of Steve VanMeter and Michelle Mason, Trey credits Gene Mattingly as a key influence in his athletic development. He is majoring in Business while continuing his collegiate baseball career at IU Columbus.
