Aidan Sheetz is a freshman catcher for IU Columbus, bringing strong defensive skills and a competitive mindset behind the plate. The 6-foot native of Loogootee, Indiana is a graduate of Northeast Dubois High School, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete in both baseball and basketball.
During his prep career, Sheetz competed in summer baseball with the Rockport Legion, Princeton Legion, and the Jasper Reds, gaining valuable experience against strong regional competition.
Sheetz earned numerous honors in high school, including MVP Award, RBI Award, Golden Glove Award, Most Improved Award, and two-time Blue Chip All-Conference recognition. He credits Coach Luke Woolems as a key influence in his development as a player.
The son of Melissa Kneip and Cam Sheetz, Aidan is majoring in Criminal Justice and plans to pursue a career in the field while continuing to develop his game at the collegiate level.
